A price list as a PDF, a manual, a template pack or a piece of music: many websites offer files for download. Often they end up scattered across random folders, and nobody remembers which link points where. The Downloads module brings order to this – and lets you decide what a file costs.
All Files in One Place
In the Downloads module you manage all the files you want to offer: PDFs, ZIP archives, images, audio and video. Files are uploaded by drag & drop, right in the backend.
One Link, Usable Everywhere
For every file, you get a link to copy. You paste it wherever you need it: in a blog article, on a page, in a newsletter or in a social media post. In the blog, you can also attach files directly to an article.
Free, Paid or for a Donation
For every file, you decide how it is offered:
- Free: simply download it, no hurdles
- Paid: the file is only available after purchase, paid through the Payment module with PayPal, Stripe or another connected provider.
- For a donation: visitors support you voluntarily through the Donate module and get the file as a thank-you.
That way you can offer a free e-book, sell a detailed template and ask for a donation for a freeware program – all with the same module.
Downloads or Shop?
If you want to offer individual files, the Downloads module is the quickest way. For a whole product range with a cart, physical products and stock levels, there is the Shop.
Maintain Once, Up to Date Everywhere
Because all files live centrally in the Downloads module, you replace a new version in one place only. The links on your website stay the same. Your visitors always get the current version, not an outdated copy.
