1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the website placems.com, the free AI Check and the AI door (interface for AI assistants at https://www.placems.com/mcp). The operator is the provider named in the imprint (“we”). Separate agreements apply to orders for building or maintaining websites.

2. Website content

We compile our content carefully but give no guarantee that it is complete, correct or up to date. Prices (e.g. “from 500 US dollars”) are non-binding guide values, not a binding offer. A contract is only concluded by explicit agreement.

3. AI Check

  • The AI Check is free and examines publicly accessible pages of a website you enter. Only check websites you operate or are allowed to check.
  • The score and recommendations are an automated technical assessment. They say nothing about whether an AI assistant will actually mention or recommend a website.
  • The answer under “Ask a real AI” comes from a third-party AI service (Claude by Anthropic). It may be incomplete, outdated or wrong.
  • To prevent abuse, the number of checks is limited. Automated mass requests are not allowed.

4. AI door (interface for AI assistants)

  • Through the AI door, AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Claude can retrieve our published content free of charge.
  • The answers of your AI assistant are written by its provider, not by us. We give no guarantee for their accuracy – the content on our website is authoritative.
  • If you send us an inquiry through your AI assistant, we receive it by email. This does not yet create a contract.
  • The number of requests is limited. Attacks, overloading or bypassing the limit are not allowed. We may change, restrict or switch off the AI door at any time.

5. Copyright

Texts, images and software on this website are protected by copyright. AI assistants and search engines may reproduce short excerpts to answer user questions, with attribution (link). Any further use requires our consent.

6. Links to other websites

The operators of external websites we link to are solely responsible for their content.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence we are only liable for breach of essential obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. For the free services (AI Check, AI door) we do not guarantee constant availability.

8. Privacy

How we handle data is explained in our privacy policy.

9. Changes and final provisions

We may amend these terms; the version published here applies. German law applies. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains effective.
